The Master’s in Data, Economics, and Development Policy is the first master’s program to be offered by MIT’s Department of Economics. It is also the first program at MIT to exist exclusively in a blended (online/residential) form. Provides students in the blended DEDP Master's program the opportunity to synthesize their coursework and professional experience in development economics and data analysis. In the context of a summer internship, students apply the knowledge gained in the program towards a project with a host organization, typically in the development sector. MIT’s Master of Finance program features a rigorous 18-month STEM curriculum, with the option to accelerate in 12 months, emphasizing a foundation in how markets work and engineered around the most advanced financial theories, quantitative models, and industry practices. MIT graduate students play a central role in the Institute’s wide-ranging research activities, making a vital contribution to the educational experience of students and faculty, and ultimately leading to the success of the research itself. Graduate students who are enrolled in a research program, and who are not taking courses, will have their summer tuition subsidized (that is, paid from other Institute resources).
